Cops: Riverside man flees after crashing car in Stamford (Connecticut Post) A Riverside man who police say chased after an off-duty medic who was calling 911 to report the man's crash into a Washington Boulevard median early Tuesday was arrested and charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, police said. Christopher Lund, 24, of Gilliam Lane, Riverside, was charged with evading responsibility, resisting arrest, second-degree breach of peace, possession of marijuana, use of drug paraphernalia and failure to drive right. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond. An off-duty emergency medical technician saw Lund drive over a median at the corner of Cold Spring Road and Randall Avenue and strike a Stamford Hospital sign, Stamford police Capt. Thomas Lombardo said. The medic, who was driving, stayed behind the car and saw it continue down Cold Spring Road, according to police.
