Houlihan Lawrence Hires 2 New Agents

Greenwich residents Alison Farn-Leigh and Joann McCarthy have joined the firm which now has 67 agents at the Riverside office on Wilmot Lane. Farn-Leigh, the previous owner of an international beauty company, has joined Houlihan Lawrence as a residential real estate sales person.

Greenwich Bucks County Trend With Steep Fall In Real Estate Sales

Real estate sales fell 18 percent in the fourth quarter in Greenwich, bucking a countywide trend that saw increased activity in many other markets. For the year, sales fell 2 percent in Greenwich.

Greenwich Neighborhoods Rank Among Snobbiest Places In Connecticut

According to the infotainment website RoadSnacks.com, nine of the Top 10 of the Snobbiest Places in Connecticut are in Fairfield County. Though Old Greenwich, Riverside and Cos Cob are all part of Greenwich, they were considered separately because they have their own U.S. Census Bureau entries, RoadSnacks says.

A Quiet Holiday Weekend for Greenwich Police

It was a relatively quiet Christmas holiday weekend for Greenwich Police who say the unseasonably warm weather probably was a contributing factor. During the four-day period from Dec. 24 through Dec. 27, there were 451 calls for service including 12 motor vehicle accidents.

3 Riverside Businesses Targeted by Burglars

Burglars struck a Riverside shopping center over the Christmas holiday and Greenwich detectives are investigating the burglaries of two Riverside businesses and the attempted break-in of a third.
