Knife-Wielding Man Apprehended in Riverside

A 28-year-old man with a criminal record dating back 10 years was arrested on a weapons charge after he was seen "acting erratically" and "carrying a large knife" on East Putnam Avenue in the Riverside section of town. Police wrote in their report that they found Parker M. Ross, 28, of 35 W. View Pl., Riverside, "with a hood pulled tightly over his head and face.

Greenwich Police Warn That Suspicious Driver Followed Student

Greenwich Police are warning residents about a Silver Volvo XC60 that followed a 15-year-old foreign exchange student while she was on her morning walk. On Oct. 10 at 9:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by an older, white, balding man, followed the girl as she walked along Putnam Avenue in Riverside to Valley Road in Cos Cob, police said.

Man with a knife, about to enter Riverside gas station, charged with weapons possession

Authorities were called to the Mobil station on East Putnam Avenue in Riverside Saturday around 2 p.m. A 911 call reported a man acting suspiciously with a knife visibly in his possession, attached to his waist.

Greenwich Police Question Driver Who Approached Teen 4 Times

Greenwich Police are continuing their investigation of an incident involving a man who stopped a teenager four times while she walked along East Putnam Avenue on Saturday. Greenwich Police said the 15-year-old foreign exchange student reported that it was about 9:30 a.m. Oct. 10 when an "older white male who was balding a stopped the juvenile at four different locations along East Putnam Avenue in Riverside to Valley Road in Cos Cob."

Antonio E. Fantin: A Jack of All Trades Who Loved to Cook for Others

Antonio Elso Fantin, of Greenwich CT, passed Oct. 3 2015 at the age of 82, just over two months after the passing of his beloved wife, Josephine Carlucci Fantin. Born in Villotta di Chions PN, Italy on March 9 1933 to Emilio Fantin and Emilia Facchin, Antonio was an old world mason.
